Ruth 2:4
Bible study about Boaz and his servants
'Now behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, “The Lord be with you!” And they answered him, “The Lord bless you!”'
Ruth 2:4
Today we will look at Boaz. Verse 1 says about him:
"There was a relative of Naomi’s husband, a man of great wealth, of the family of Elimelech. His name was Boaz."
Verse 3 tells us that he owns a field. Ruth went into his field to gather food for herself and Naomi.
The verse of today shows us how Boaz interacts with his servants. He is an example of a good boss. He shows kindness not only to his own workers but also to a total stranger like Ruth.
There is mutual respect. Boaz blesses his servants in the name of the Lord, and the servants return the blessing to him. Not only Boaz is an example, but so are his servants.
Other Bible verses about servants and masters:
Ephesians 6:5: "Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;"
Colossians 3:22: "Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God."
1 Peter 2:18: "Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh."
Ephesians 6:9: "And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him."
Colossians 4:1: "Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven."
Today's lesson: Boaz and his servants are examples for us. How do we treat our employees? And how are we treating our boss? Do we respect them, and are we obedient? Are we faithful and trustworthy in how we serve or lead?

Excellent reminder brother. Well done!
